I am a Medicine Woman

The story that shapes who I am...

I grew up in Virginia. From a young age I was inspired and ignited by healing touch, the anatomy of the body, and birth.  I began studying massage therapy at 19 years old. It was a natural process for me, a deep remembrance. I went on to study Reiki, Reflexology, Hot Stone Therapy, Massage Cupping, Positional Therapy, Arvigo Mayan Abdominal Massage, Prenatal, Labor and Delivery & Postpartum Massage, and the female nervous system.

In 2007, at the age of 23, I heard the inner call to move to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. This island has been good to me, my place on this Earth, my home.

I studied 350 hours of Yoga Teacher Training through Satchidananda Ashram- Yogaville and returned annually for 7 years to assist with programs. 

Becoming pregnant with my first child, the deep desire arose to immerse in the world of birth. I became a Birth Doula with DONA International and have been attending birth since 2015.

It was the first two years of my son's life that was my first great initiation.  He was born with a neurological condition. We endured numerous surgeries and hospitalizations. He has led me to trauma work, nervous system work, shadow work, lineage work, shamanic work...the depths within myself. He & I have been journeying together for many lifetimes, the Medicine that he continually serves me is for my continual growth and expansion!

In my second pregnancy, I yearned for more skills to birth with ease. In my second pregnancy I trained to be a HypnoBirthing Instructor. The hypnoses & breath work practices taught me to masterfully ride the waves of pregnancy & birth with the power of my breath and mind.

I went on to studyINNATE Postpartum Care Training, the Radical Birthkeeper School with Free Birth Society, and am currently enrolled in True Midwifery, an authentic Midwifery program.

My next great initiation came in 2020, in the caretaking journey and death of my Mother.  And in 2022, I also cared for and sat with my Mother-in-Law until she passed.  With both Mothers I held a family Ceremony. Facilitating ritual bathing, anointing their bodies in sacred oils, and adorning their bodies from head to toe in a flower Ceremony, as a family, 3 generations.  Sitting with death and holding Ceremony, I have come to know that I'm a sacred keeper of Life and Death!

In 2022, a great dream became manifest. My husband and I built a school, a homeschool pod, on our land for our 2 children and 9 others.  It is called New Earth School.  New Earth School was birthed with the Energy of creating a thriving alternative education for our children and families outside of the conventional way.  The school is rooted in nature based practices and teachings, self-mastery tools, while supporting them to excel academically.

In 2024, I created my own childbirth education program called Birth in Power - A Guide to Physiologic Birth & Postpartum.  Continuing my studies in ancient wisdom, a deeper body of work was yearning to come through, capturing more traditional practices and broader postpartum care teachings.

All of this is just what I do... 

Who I BE, is a Priestess of the Divine.
